Mbah Surip Telah Berpulang...

Kok Mbah Surip? Ya.. karena beliau cukup fenomenal. Seperti halnya Michael Jackson yang tiba-tiba. Penggemar Mbah Surip seakan tak percaya atas berita meninggalnya, Selasa (4/8) pagi ini.

“Tuhan memilih Mbah Surip meninggal di saat puncak popularitasnya melangit. Tak ada yang mengira secepat itu. Itulah kekuasaan Tuhan.

“Mbah Surip; Sekali berarti..., sudah itu mati! Selamat jalan mbah, semoga segala amal, segala kebaikan bertumbuh kedamaian. Amin.,” ujar Chris, seorang ibu rumah tangga dalam status Facebooknya.

Semua orang merasa kehilangan atas kepergian Mbah Surip, yang lagu-lagunya sedang menjadi hit. Diperkirakan ia mengantongi tak kurang dari Rp 4 miliar dari royalti lagu-lagunya.

Mbah Surip dikenal dengan joke populernya; 'peace man, I love you full, ha ha ha...” yang selalu ia ucapkan diatas panggung, atau setiap bertemu dengan teman dan orang yang menyapanya di jalan.

Sejumlah lagu-lagu yang populer karya dari Mbah Surip; Tak Gendong, Tukang Nasi Goreng, Bangun Tidur, Enak Tenan, Witing Tresno (karya Tony Q), Bangun Tidur, I Love You Full, Aku Ganteng, Melody Security, Ujug-Ujug, Dikejar-Kejar, dan Sejarah Cinta.

Mbah Surip meninggal dunia di Rumah Sakit Pendidikan Kesehatan, Jakarta Timur, hari ini Selasa (4/8) pukul 10.30 WIB. Sesuai pesannya, ia akan dimakamkan di Pemakaman Bumi Serpong Damai, Jawa Barat. Saat ini, jenazah masih semayankan dirumah Mamiek Prakoso, pelawak Srimulat, teman terakhirnya ia menghabiskan waktu untuk ngobrol tadi malam, sebelum meninggal pada pagi harinya.
